Bisgrove Engineering Services was formed in 2004 by Doug Bisgrove, PE, to provide Architects, Owners, and Contractors with full-service MEP engineering.
Born of a large (5 children) military family (Air Force) and used to moving every three years, he joined the Navy after high school, where he spent the next six years. In the Navy, he traveled the world and learned about engineering from an operations point of view, advancing to E-5 along the way. Onboard the ship, he worked hard and qualified for increasingly responsible watch stations.
He finished his tour and was honorably discharged as supervisor of the high pressure (1200 psi) steam plant that provided the propulsion, electrical power, and freshwater for the ship and crew.
After the Navy, he put himself through college, earning his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University.
After college, he relocated to Dallas and began his career in facilities engineering. He started at the bottom, learning CAD in the drafting pool and moved through the ranks again, this time in facility MEP Engineering.
After several years each in CAD, Test, and Balance, and Air Handler Design, he transitioned into MEP design with the insight and tools necessary to be a top performer.
Having designed hundreds of successful new construction and renovation projects (commercial, high tech, retail & educational), his experiences have prepared him well.
He earned his P.E. by examination and is an NCEES record holder with licensure in 8 states.
Doug believes utilizing his experiences from the Navy, College, and MEP firms have been instrumental in making Bisgrove Engineering Services a first-rate MEP facilities engineering company.
